The parties signed the agreement on mutual support to assist each other in organizing sports and educational table tennis events. The Setka Cup tournaments are powered by BETER, the sports & esports betting provider.
Milos Vojacek, the President of the Prague Table Tennis Association, considers the agreement to be a significant step for both parties. “We are honored to be the partner of the Setka Cup and believe that our cooperation will allow us to develop and promote table tennis in Prague and the Czech Republic,” commented Milos Vojacek
The Setka Cup became an integral part of the Czech sports community. Top-notch athletes, including Jindrich Pansky, double silver medalist of the world championship, Marek Cihak, Jaromir Zlamal, Krystof Prida, and David Prusa, have already become the participants of Setka Cup tournaments in Prague.
Gal Ehrlich, CEO of BETER, believes that the collaboration will strengthen the Setka Cup’s position on the international level. “Such a partnership between the Setka Cup and the Prague Table Tennis Association allows bringing together the supporters of table tennis development in the EU. It is the right direction that will join our hands with sports communities and professional associations in other countries and help us organize more sports events and involve top athletes,” said Gal Ehrlich.
In May 2021, Setka Cup announced the launch of the platform’s first arena in the EU. Currently, the location in Prague holds 4 table tennis tournaments every day and comprises 100 active players. BETER provides live analytics, detailed player statistics, and odds for each game at sportsbooks in 150 countries.
