NEXT: Let’s start with scale. BETER handles huge volumes of fast-paced content every month. What unique integrity challenges does that bring, and how do you approach them?
Andrii Nekrutov: BETER provides live streams, real-time data, and odds for fast-paced esports and sports content, including ESportsBattle and Setka Cup tournaments — totaling around 50,000 events per month. As fast betting gains mainstream traction, the demand for speed and scale grows. But with scale comes scrutiny, and this creates serious integrity challenges.
Maintaining integrity in a high-frequency environment means managing real-time risks like suspicious betting patterns, match-fixing attempts, and data feed manipulation. Even minor lapses can impact dozens of events, so precision and rapid response are vital.
Our team flags anomalies in real time by analyzing betting trends, player behavior, and performance data across thousands of events.
We also enforce strict participant vetting, conduct continuous match monitoring, and maintain partnerships with external integrity bodies and regulators. This layered approach ensures transparency, fairness, and accountability across all competitions.
For a vertical driven by speed and volume, integrity isn’t just a safeguard — it’s a foundational requirement. And as the space continues to grow, our commitment to high-integrity standards grows with it.
NEXT: Can you give us a sense of how your integrity framework works behind the scenes? How is your team structured, and what systems do you have in place to detect and address suspicious activity?
AN: Integrity is the foundation of our operation. We uphold the highest standards of fair play across all tournaments, with 24/7 oversight from a dedicated team of integrity experts. Our framework is built on six key pillars: onboarding, education and prevention, regulations, monitoring, investigation, and prosecution.
Each pillar is activated through robust corporate governance, a proprietary integrity certification system, multilingual education programs, and digital tools such as our Integrity Operation Center, Incident Database, and whistleblowing platform. These systems enable us to proactively identify, investigate, and respond to risks in real time.
This comprehensive structure is reinforced by close collaboration with law enforcement, sports federations, and governing bodies.
Thus, in May, we joined the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) as a Tier 1 Anti-Corruption Supporter and earned ESIC Gold Standard accreditation for our ESportsBattle tournaments—validating the strength of our integrity practices through a rigorous audit.
In April, we partnered with the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) to enhance data sharing and response strategies for suspicious betting activity.
We combine live data monitoring and human intelligence to build a dynamic integrity defense. Thanks to this approach, less than 0.01% of matches are flagged for suspicious activity — a figure that speaks to the effectiveness of our model.
NEXT: What does it take to maintain such a low percentage of suspicious incidents, especially with 24/7, fast-paced content?
AN: It takes unwavering commitment and high professionalism from the Integrity team above all. At BETER, one of the biggest reasons behind our low incident rate is our strict and comprehensive approach to athlete education.
We believe that education is one of the most effective tools for raising awareness about match-fixing — and the best method for preventing it. That’s why we’ve invested heavily in developing a robust integrity education program for athletes and other stakeholders.A key project is our Integrity BOOTCAMP — a realistic simulation project that exposes over 1,000 athletes to real-life integrity violations to test and reinforce ethical decision-making. With a 99% whistleblowing rate, this initiative has significantly improved trust among our operator partners and helped reduce suspicious match activity.
This year, we also launched INTEGRITY+, a digital platform offering AI-powered tools, educational resources, and reporting functions designed to support athletes and safeguard sports integrity. It provides accessible, proactive integrity management across all devices.
Built around the real needs of modern sports professionals, INTEGRITY+ empowers clean competition and proactive risk management by combining awareness, learning, reporting, and artificial intelligence. It reflects our long-term commitment to building a fairer, safer sporting environment through ethical infrastructure.
As we continue to evolve our education programs and reinforce every pillar of our integrity framework, we believe achieving a zero-fraud rate is within reach.
NEXT: The industry often associates “fast” with “light touch”, but in BETER’s case, it seems to be the opposite. Why do you think integrity is sometimes underestimated in fast content environments?
AN: It’s a common misconception that “fast” means “light touch,” but that’s changing. Regulators today are highly thorough, especially when it comes to fast-betting content providers. As BETER continues to gain approvals in big markets like New Jersey, Buenos Aires, and Peru, operators are seeing how seriously we take integrity.
For us, trust at speed has become a key differentiator. It’s one of the reasons we’ve been able to partner with strong names such as Bet365, BVGroup, Altenar, Kaizen Gaming, and more. In today’s landscape, confidence in a provider’s integrity, safer gambling practices, and compliance approach often outweighs product depth or margin. That’s the kind of confidence we offer — and as we expand into new markets and work closely with regulators, we’ll continue raising the bar for integrity in fast content environments.
NEXT: Are you seeing a shift in what operators or partners expect in terms of integrity protocols? How has that evolved over the past year or two?
AN: Yes, there’s been a significant shift. Operators now demand clear evidence that providers prioritize integrity and have proven systems that work effectively. With so many content providers in the market, integrity frameworks, processes, and compliance tools have become key differentiators. While content quality remains important, operators place integrity and regulatory compliance above all else—failing to do so risks their licenses and reputations. The stakes have never been higher.
At BETER, this focus has driven us to embed integrity into everything we do, which has earned industry recognition. Earlier this year, we won the Safer Gambling Award at the European iGaming Awards. More recently, we were named Esports Betting Supplier of the Year at the EGR B2B Awards 2025, where our commitment to integrity was a key factor in our success. This evolution reflects a broader industry trend toward stricter oversight and a zero-tolerance approach to match-fixing, making robust integrity protocols a non-negotiable requirement for partnerships and market access.
NEXT: Looking ahead, do you expect regulators to step up scrutiny around fast-betting products? How do you see that conversation unfolding, and what role should suppliers like BETER play?
AN: Regulatory scrutiny around fast-betting products will intensify. Regulators recognize the unique risks fast betting presents but are also eager to embrace the innovation it brings to the industry. That’s why BETER works closely with regulators to help them fully understand our fast-paced offerings and the risk mitigation measures we have in place.
However, greater collaboration is still needed—not only between suppliers and regulators but also operators and third parties. Fast betting demand will only grow, so all stakeholders must align to stay ahead of emerging risks.
At BETER, we believe fast betting can lead the way in setting new integrity standards. We’re committed to sharing our blueprint for sports integrity, viewing it not just as a safeguard for bettors, athletes, and the wider community, but as a strategic asset that strengthens trust and sustainability across the entire ecosystem.
NEXT: Finally, how do you balance innovation with accountability? What advice would you give to others building fast-paced content offerings in terms of getting integrity right from day one?
AN: Innovation and accountability must evolve together. The more cutting-edge your offering, the more important it is to build a foundation of trust and transparency. At BETER, we’ve treated integrity as a core value from day one—never as an afterthought. That’s what enables us to innovate boldly while staying aligned with regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
For others entering the fast-paced content space, getting integrity right starts with a clear vision and a formal strategy that aligns with your business goals. It’s important to establish robust policies, define risk mitigation processes, and ensure there are effective tools and systems in place to monitor and respond to issues in real time. But technology alone isn’t enough—investing in people is just as critical. Educating athletes, employees, and partners on integrity principles helps embed ethical thinking across the organization. Most importantly, integrity should be a shared responsibility, woven into company culture through transparency, consistency, and accountability at every level.
When integrity is built into your business process from the beginning, it becomes a competitive advantage—one that drives sustainable growth and long-term trust with partners, regulators, and players alike.
